As I observe my two unruly dogs and compare their lack of orderly conditioning with my own inclination to submit to structures and behaviours that are not always the best, I recognize the need to practice more rigorous spiritual conditioning.
However, I have to admit that I don't recall having such lofty thoughts when I drew that cartoon 20 years ago. It just seemed like a funny idea then.
I wonder what condition my conditioning is in?
How do you think of these things? That's actually a very good question though. I mean, if you understand it theologically of course.
